Ann McCulloch

On 7th October 2026, peacefully in Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, surrounded by her family, Ann McCulloch, The Doon, Twynholm. Dearly loved wife of John, much loved mum of Lorraine, Ann, Jeannie and Shona, loving granny of Cheryl, Billy, Tracey, Gary, Scott, Nicola, Holly and Ewan and great granny of Caleb, Kyle, Cameron and Joey. She will be sadly missed. Funeral service private at her request. Thank you to all from the Palliative Team, Ward C5, Kirkcudbright District Nurses and Macmillan Nurses for all the care given to Ann and the family.

Wendy McLauchlan

On 22nd September 2026, peacefully at home, Wendy McLauchlan, The Terrace, Dundrennan. Dearly loved wife of the late Bobby, much loved mum of Diane, Simon and the late Tony and loving granny of Brody and Hudson. Funeral service will take place at the graveside in Rerrick Cemetery, Dundrennan on Tuesday 13th October at 1.00pm. All friends are respectfully invited to attend. Family flowers only please. If so desired, donations to Dumfries & Galloway Out of Hours Department may be given at the service. No dark clothes please.

Mary Jackson Craig

Mary Jackson Craig (nee Russell), in her one hundredth year, died peacefully at Barlochan Care Home on 30th September 2026.  Dearly beloved wife of the late John, mother, grandmother of Susan and great grandmother of Millie and Fallon.  At Mary’s request the funeral will be private.

Gus Carlow

On 24th September 2026, Gus Carlow of Designs, King Street, Castle Douglas.  Dearly loved dad of Shimara & Morwynne, lifelong friend and partner to Lucy, much loved grandpa to Angus, Emma & Georgina and a beloved member of the Designs family and community. He will be sadly missed.  Funeral service will take place at Roucan Loch Crematorium, Dumfries, on Friday 16th October 2026 at 11am.  All are respectfully invited to attend.

John Coupland

On 14th September 2026, peacefully at home John Rogerson Coupland, Brown Crescent, Castle Douglas.  Beloved husband of Mary, uncle & grandpa John to them all.  He will be sadly missed.  Funeral service will take place at Roucan Loch Crematorium, Dumfries on Friday 9th October 2026 at 2pm.  All friends are respectfully invited to attend. Family flowers only please.  If so desired, donations to the Paramedics & District Nurses may be given at the service.  Special thanks to all the medical staff who have helped John over the last 11 years.
